Created during a 12 week figure drawing class these images reflect my most recent figurative work. Exploring both medium and technique my practice is ever developing. The process of sitting with a model becomes a meditation. My hand, my eye and my technical experience come together to form a cohesive image. Towards the end of this course my work became heavily influenced by the figure drawings and paintings by Alberto Giacometti. I attempted to implement his vigorous use of line, color, and emphasis on the gaze into my work.
